An AMAZING Stay!!!
helpful butler friendly staff informative tour excellent food
The butlers were helpful and friendly . Clemence by the pool was very helpful too. He always had a smile. The hotel provided a very informative historical tour. It was worth the time. I had an excellent experience at the Butcher's Block Restaurant. The food and drinks were AMAZING!!!
Email responses were very slow. I had to chase for answers.

Excellent Restoration and Service
clean room quiet courtyard attentive service
The room was clean upon arrival. The courtyard was quiet, a wonderful oasis from the city. The Tiffin Room featured exquisite dishes, especially at dinner. Presentation was excellent, and the service attentive.

butler gimmick slow response
i thought the butler service would be super attentive, you know, like the video they show. instead, it felt more like a quirky gimmick. it was annoying to not get hold of my butler unless i was sitting in the room, especially when i had to wait ages to arrange things. i wound up figuring things out myself anyway. they need some kind of messaging system so you dont have to wait around. also, ordering food by the pool was a hassle, and all i wanted was something from the courtyard menu. it seems like a lot of the fancy stuff they show isn't exactly what you get.

the courtyard suite king was spacious the bathroom included a separate tub i found the air conditioning effective i also liked the complimentary fruit basket provided daily
the in-room dining menu seemed limited i noticed some wear and tear on the furniture the television remote was unresponsive i also thought the wifi signal weak in certain areas of the room

informative barman cocktail recommendation friendly hostess slow email response understaffed pool poor breakfast service
The Long Bar was a highlight of my trip! I visited in the afternoon with no queue. John, the barman, was amazing (he totally.). He shared the bar's history and cocktail recommendations.
I received slow responses to my emails. The pool service felt understaffed. Breakfast service was also very poor (my tea and coffee arrived without milk).

My Courtyard Suite King room was spacious. I also found it tastefully decorated. The historical tour was very informative. I thought it was worth doing.
The email response time was slow. I found the pool service lacking. The breakfast service was poor. I was very disappointed.
